Sam Stonkus, Owner and Master Electrician

I am a fun-loving, hardworking, and work-driven individual who is deeply committed to my family and my craft. Stubborn to a fault, I never back down from a challenge and believe in pushing forward no matter the obstacles.

My journey in the electrical trade began in South Florida at the age of 16 as an entry-level helper, working under tough, old-school journeymen who taught me resilience and the value of perseverance. I started in the fueling industry, and by 18, I was already running my first gas station electrical project, handling both the convenience store wiring and pump and tank work. My skills quickly advanced, and I took on larger projects, managing crews of 2-5 helpers.

By 20, I was executing major projects for the Department of Defense (DOD), working on gas stations, bulk fuel storage repairs, and maintenance throughout Florida. Eventually, I relocated to Western North Carolina, where I became a supervisor on large municipal lift stations across Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. I also contributed to a water treatment plant project before transitioning into the custom home electrical sector, where I thrived in working closely with clients to design and implement their ideal home electrical systems.

Now, I’ve come full circle, back in the fueling industry, which I love, while still handling residential and commercial projects throughout WNC. Electrical work isn’t just my career—it’s my passion. Whether working with large-scale infrastructure or helping a homeowner bring their vision to life, I take pride in delivering quality work and building lasting relationships along the way.
